Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Interior confirmed that it has controlled the smuggling of petroleum derivatives by 98 percent for the first time.

The spokesman for the Ministry and the Security Media Cell, Brigadier General Miqdad Miri, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “for the first time, the Ministry of Interior achieved a 98% rate of controlling the smuggling of petroleum derivatives during the first quarter of 2024.”
He added, “The Ministry confiscated 3.5 million liters as a result of smuggling operations during the aforementioned period.”
