The Federal Police Command announced on Saturday the arrest of two suspects in a murder in Baghdad.
The command stated in a statement received by Al-Rasheed, “After receiving information indicating the presence of the body of a young man lying on the side of the pit in the Tariq neighborhood area in Sadr City, east of the capital, Baghdad, the forensic evidence detachments were summoned and confirmed that it was a murder.”
She continued, “The crime was committed by shooting him. After collecting preliminary information and the presence of the victim’s family, a security team was formed under the supervision of the 20th Federal Police Brigade, the intelligence effort, and the security authorities working within the sector of responsibility, as it was able to arrest an accused who confessed to committing the crime, and was accompanied by him.” Another accused was also arrested.”
She pointed out, “According to security information, the defendants have a history of drug trade and promotion,” noting, “The defendants were referred to the competent authorities to complete the investigative and legal procedures against them.”
