The Egyptian House of Representatives, headed by Counselor Hanafi Gebaly, approved today, Thursday, granting confidence to the new government headed by Mostafa Madbouly.
The Egyptian House of Representatives approved, during a general session, the new government’s program after studying it by the special committee formed by the House, headed by Counselor Ahmed Saad El-Din, First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
For his part, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly expressed his confidence in “the ability of Egyptian state institutions to meet all requirements in the coming period,” noting that “the new government will work to improve the living conditions of citizens, in accordance with the President’s directives.”
The new Egyptian government, headed by Mostafa Madbouly, took the constitutional oath last week before Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
The new government witnessed several changes, including the appointment of Badr Abdel Aati as Minister of Foreign Affairs, instead of Sameh Shoukry, in addition to the appointment of Lieutenant General Abdel Majeed Saqr as Minister of Defense, the appointment of Kamel El-Wazir as Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Affairs and Minister of Transport and Industry, and Ahmed Kojalik as Minister of Finance.
