Rabie added that the Houthi attacks affected the income of the Suez Canal through a decrease in the number of ships by 4%, commenting: The dollar revenue decreased by 51% due to the Houthi attacks, and the Suez Canal is carrying out many development projects for maritime transport services, and is also improving the southern sector of the canal. .
The head of the Suez Canal Authority continued: Implementing the project to develop the navigational course of the canal in the Lesser Bitter Lakes aims to double the area of 10 kilometers to join the Suez Canal, and the new Suez Canal will be 82 kilometers long instead of 72 kilometers to increase the number of ships.
