Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research signed an executive agreement with Imperial College London in the field of medical education and training.
A statement by the ministry – received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) – stated that “the agreement was signed on behalf of the Ministry of Higher Education by the President of Al-Nahrain University, Ali Abdul Aziz Al-Shawi, via a closed electronic circuit with (Prof. Salman Rawaf) at the College of Medicine at (Imperial College London) in the United Kingdom, and the Director of the Collaborative Center with the World Health Organization (WHO) for Education and Training in the Field of Public Health.”
The statement added that “the executive agreement includes several axes, including the fellowship program in the United Kingdom, master’s studies in the clinical field, curricula, learning processes, learning innovations, and adapting technological progress to suit the needs of students and the health system.”
The agreement also included, according to the statement, preparing an advanced academic training program in the United Kingdom, and conducting joint scientific research.
