Today, Tuesday, the Babil Governorate Police Command announced the dismantling of a gang specialized in luring citizens and stealing their belongings in the north of the governorate.
The police media stated in a statement, received by Al-Rashid, that “detachments of the Anti-Crime Division in the Al-Saddah district were able to dismantle a gang consisting of four individuals who were luring citizens with bicycles or bicycles in a remote area within the northern district of the governorate and stealing their belongings.”
The command confirmed that “the division’s detachments were able to arrest two members of the gang and they frankly confessed to their crimes.”
She explained, “The gang was luring citizens by hiring them for the purpose of delivering food or transportation, and after luring the victim, they would threaten him with weapons and take from him his money, his mobile phones, and the bicycle or tuk he was riding.”
The statement noted that “efforts are still ongoing to arrest the other defendants and bring them all before the judiciary.”
