In implementation of the directives of the Lieutenant General, Commander of Baghdad Operations, the Major General, Assistant Commander of Operations, accompanied by the Brigadier General, Director of Karkh Checkpoints and a number of Staff Officers, inspected the security measures at the (Falcons) checkpoint, the western entrance to the capital, Baghdad, on a night tour. This came with the aim of easing the burden on citizens and finding appropriate solutions to facilitate the movement of vehicles of all types and prevent the accumulation of freight vehicles and waiting for long periods at the checkpoint, in addition to closely examining the work of the external checkpoints and monitoring the inspection mechanism therein. In a related context, the legal major general stressed the importance of cooperating with citizens and facilitating their passage without affecting the security procedures followed in the work of the checkpoint.
