Baghdad – WAA
The Digital Media Center (DMC) revealed that clips related to the Husseini revolution dominated the Iraqi trend on YouTube, on the night of the tenth of Muharram in the year 1446 AH.
The General Supervisor of the Digital Media Center, Muhannad Habib Al-Samawi, explained in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “29 clips, out of 30 clips, related to Husseini poems, dominated the music section in the Iraq trend on the famous video site YouTube.”
He explained that “video clips, whether short or long, are gaining special importance in the digital age and its multiple social platforms, as millions of young people spend long hours daily with them, and draw many sources of their information and knowledge from them, to the point that they have changed their way of communicating, learning, entertainment and social relationships.”
Al-Samawi added that “these clips have become an important and necessary part of the digital life of Generation Z and Generation Alpha, as they are more attractive and influential in conveying messages, stories and ideas to them. These clips also play a pivotal role in shaping the tendencies and orientations of these generations,” stressing that “the new generations, who were born in the midst of the technological revolution, tend to interact and deal with visual content and products more than other products, due to the ease of dealing with them and the low effort required by this process.”
Al-Samawi reiterated his emphasis that “these clips, with their different stages, diverse positions and multiple rhythms, have imposed their presence significantly on digital platforms, and have begun to appear within the recommendations of the platforms’ algorithms in the trending, which has allowed millions to view them, which constitutes a new opportunity to spread the Husseini cause with its religious, political, social and value dimensions, in a manner that is consistent with the spirit of the age, and a method that combines emotion and the heroic meanings of the events of the Karbala incident, which contributes to enriching awareness of the Husseini cause and strengthening belonging to the religious and national identity.”
