London hosted the world premiere of Digger, directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, starring Tom Cruise in the titular role.
The film follows Digger Rockwell (Cruise), the world’s most powerful man, as he embarks on a frantic mission to prove he is humanity’s savior before the disaster he unleashed destroys everything.
Cruise stars alongside Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, Sandra Hüller, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Jesse Plemons. Iñárritu directed from a screenplay by Iñárritu and Oscar winners Alexander Dinelaris & Nicolás Giacobone, and Sabina Berman, story by Berman & Iñárritu and Jez Butterworth.
Joining them on the red carpet were Emma D’Arcy, Emmanuel Lubezki, Sophie Wilde, J. J. Abrams and the royal family, King Charles, Camilla, Queen consort, William, Prince of Wales and Katherine the Princess of Wales, all of whom walked the carpet at the Leicester Square Gardens on Tuesday, September 22.
Iñárritu produces the film, Oscar nominee Mary Parent, Cruise, and executive produced by Joshua Grode.
Digger, set to open in theaters and IMAX across North America on October 2, 2026, and internationally beginning 30 September 2026; it will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
