A statement from the cell received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated, “The heroic units in all sectors of operations continue their courageous operations in tracking and pursuing the remnants of terrorism and its defeated elements, incurring more losses in dens, equipment, and guesthouses, and destroying tunnels and caves used by ISIS detachments.”
The statement added, “In continuation of the Waad al-Haqq operations in their third phase in the Anbar desert, a force from the 1st Western Mobilization Regiment and the 1st Al-Qaim Regiment / Al-Qaim District initiated a bold surprise operation that resulted in the destruction of a number of guest houses that contained quantities of supplies, livelihood, fuel, and identification documents belonging to members of the ISIS and its defeated remnants destroyed in this operation all the guest houses that were controlled.”
He pointed out that “this courageous operation will continue to pursue these cowardly remnants until they are eliminated, their pockets are liquidated, and the sacred soil of the homeland is cleansed of their misdeeds, crimes, and Takfiri terrorist presence.”
