Senegal took an early lead in the 4th minute through Habib Diallo, but the Ivorian team scored the equalizer with a penalty kick scored by Franck Kesé in the 76th minute.
The two teams resorted to penalty kicks, and Kalidou Koulibaly, Pape Sarr, Bamba Dieng and Sadio Mane scored for the Senegalese team, while Moussa Nyakaté missed.
