Today, Friday, the Civil Defense Directorate announced the extinguishing of a fire at the Al-Rumaitha gas station in Al-Muthanna.

The directorate said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Civil defense teams were able to extinguish a major fire accident that broke out inside the new Rumaitha government gas station in the Rumaitha district at Al-Muthanna station this Friday morning.”
He added, “Civil defense teams contained the fire that broke out inside eight fuel pumps, the station roof, and a civilian vehicle, without recording human casualties and limiting the material damage.”
He pointed out that “the cause of the accident was the result of a citizen’s negligence while refueling, according to surveillance cameras, which initially sparked the accident.”
