Small grid adjustments:
Alonso’s racing situation It seems more troublesome. Mechanics are still working on the floor – we understand there is some stone damage. But when you’re third on the grid, that’s the last thing you need to do with 10 minutes left in the race.
A quick chat with a local hero of the week: “energy [from the crowd] It’s been a shock since day one and I’ll do my best. I believe we can move forward. He started in 16th place.

Will Verstappen’s dominance finally deter new fans? Lando Norris fears it could:
“If you see the same driver winning every time without a fight, then of course it starts to get boring, that’s obvious. You have one of the best drivers in the history of Formula One, driving one of the best One of the most dominant racing cars, this is a deadly combination.
Preface
Morning/afternoon everyone. A lot has changed since China last hosted a grand prix in 2019, before the coronavirus pandemic hit and Verstappen/Red Bull’s dominance was cemented. Despite Red Bull’s chaos off the track, that dominance was on display again in qualifying on Saturday, with the defending champion winning the vote and winning the sprint race over Lewis Hamilton.
Hamilton then suffered a nightmare in qualifying, crashing out in the first round and faced a daunting task today just to score any points from 18th on the grid. He at least has fond memories of the track, where he won six times, three times as many as anyone else. When he last won five years ago, Valtteri Bottas and Sebastian Vettel joined him on the podium. Times have changed.
Anyway, back to the present, there is a lot of enthusiasm for F1’s return to home at the Shanghai International Circuit (with home driver Zhou Guanyu coming to cheer on), and there should be plenty to watch during today’s 56-lap race.
They are arranged as follows:
1 Max Verstappen 2 Sergio Perez 3 Fernando Alonso 4 Lando Norris 5 Oscar Piastri 6 Charles Leclerc 7 Carlos Sainz 8 George Russell 9 Nico Hulkenberg 10 Valtteri Bottas 11 Lance Stroll 12 Daniel Ricciardo 13 Esteban Ocan 14 Alexander Albon 15 Pierre Gasly 16 Zhou Guanyu 17 Kevin Magnussen 18 Lewis Hamilton 19 Yuki Tsunoda 20 Logan Sergeant
