Chairman of the Communications and Media Commission, Ali Al-Muayyad, announced the formation of a field operations room in the holy city of Karbala, with the aim of ensuring the provision of high-quality and reliable communications services during the Ashura visit.
Al-Muayyad said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “The Authority, in cooperation with the mobile phone companies operating in the country, worked to implement a comprehensive plan to improve the communications infrastructure in Karbala, in a way that ensures the smooth operation of telephone networks during the visit period.”
The head of the authority pointed out that “the field plan included expanding the coverage area and increasing the capacity of mobile phone networks, in addition to installing additional communication towers in areas that witness a high density of visitors.”
He added, “The Authority has also provided specialized technical support teams working around the clock to provide exceptional assistance in the event of any emergency problems with the telephone network, ensuring that visitors have a smooth and reliable communication experience during their stay in the holy city of Karbala.”
