The Border Forces Command announced today, Monday, the arrest of an accused person in possession of 10,000 narcotic pills in Al-Qaim, west of Anbar.
The command stated in a statement received by “Al-Rasheed”, that “in continuation of the security efforts of the border forces in controlling contraband and drugs across the borders, the detachments of the Qaim Customs Police Station within the Second Region Customs Police Directorate, and in a joint security duty, were able to arrest an accused carrying a large quantity of narcotic pills of the Captagon type, amounting to about 10 thousand pills, which were hidden inside boxes of cheese and molasses.”
She added, “The necessary legal measures were taken against him and he was handed over to the competent authorities.”
