The Israeli occupation army withdrew this morning, Friday, from areas in Tal al-Hawa and al-Sina’a Street in Gaza City after a military operation that lasted 7 days, while the Civil Defense headed to the places from which the occupation withdrew to retrieve the martyrs.
The spokesman for the Civil Defense in Gaza, Mahmoud Basal, said that the number of martyrs in the Tal al-Hawa and al-Sina’a areas reached nearly 60 martyrs after the occupation withdrew.
The Civil Defense in Gaza said that dozens of bodies of martyrs were scattered in the alleys and inside homes, and that entire families were martyred in the industrial area after the occupation withdrew.
He added that charred bodies of martyrs and completely burned houses were found in Tal al-Hawa and the industrial area, stressing that the occupation killed citizens who went to obtain food supplies in the area.
He reported that he had recovered 3 martyrs from one family in the industrial square west of Gaza City after the occupation army retreated.
Civil Defense confirmed that the Israeli army set fire to homes and facilities before withdrawing from the area.
He stressed that his crews reach the area from which the occupation withdrew on foot due to the destruction of the infrastructure and the lack of fuel.
Before the army retreated, Palestinian media reported that the occupation forces blew up residential buildings in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City.
She also confirmed that the occupation snipers are still deployed in the areas surrounding the Finance Roundabout in Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, and they shot a young man after he crossed the Al-Azhar intersection to the south while trying to return home.
This comes after the Shuja’iyya neighborhood east of Gaza City was declared a disaster area and dozens of martyrs were pulled from the streets and rubble of homes following the withdrawal of the occupation army from the neighborhood yesterday after a military operation that lasted about two weeks.
