Despite the White House announcing that US President Joe Biden had been infected with the Corona virus, the New York Times published a report on Thursday confirming that he had given no indication that he might change his mind about running in the upcoming presidential elections.
But the newspaper quoted Democratic Party sources as saying that Biden had seemed more open in recent days to hearing opinions calling on him not to run for a second term in the White House.
However, a person close to the president said, according to the newspaper, that it is wrong to consider Biden open to the idea of withdrawal, but rather that he is only “ready to listen.”
The White House announced last night that Biden had been infected with the Corona virus.
White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement that the US president’s symptoms are mild and that he will return to Delaware, where he will self-isolate and continue to perform his duties.
