Today, Wednesday, the Commander of Baghdad Operations, Lieutenant General Walid Khalifa Al-Tamimi, revealed a plan to transfer controls to new buildings at the entrances to the capital.
Al-Tamimi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “According to the directive of the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to organize the entrances to Baghdad, the governorate referred the project to control Al-Laj and transfer it from Al-Rustamiya.”
He pointed out, “The control was built in a modern and advanced manner, and work began on it from the opening day,” stressing, “Facilitating the movement of wheels, examining and auditing them, in addition to facilitating the movement of citizens during this control.”
He added, “There is a directive that all entrances to Baghdad be organized and with the same mechanism,” pointing out that “a plan has been developed to transfer controls to new buildings for all entrances to Baghdad.”
