Baghdad Operations Commander Lieutenant General Walid Khalifa Al-Tamimi announced today, Monday, a decrease in the rate of criminal cases in the capital during the past month.
Al-Tamimi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The capital, Baghdad, witnessed a noticeable decrease during the past month in the rate of criminal cases.”
He added, “The command conducted searches in a number of areas in the capital, and seized a large number of weapons. There are joint detachments deployed in Baghdad, carrying out various duties in different places.”
He pointed out that “the detachments seized a number of weapons and narcotic substances, and arrested drug users by the detachments and they were transferred to the judiciary.”
