At least 27 people were killed and dozens more were injured when a speeding passenger bus plunged off a highway into a rocky gorge in western Pakistan early Wednesday, officials said. German football club Borussia Dortmund have signed a three-year sponsorship deal with leading German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall. The Düsseldorf-based firm, the fifth-largest weapons manufacturer in Europe, has become a “Champion Partner” of the Bundesliga club in a deal worth between €7 and €9 million per year. German inflation slightly increased in May, highlighting the challenge for the European Central Bank (ECB) ahead of its interest rates decision next week. Prices rose 2.4% compared to the same month last year, preliminary figures from Germany’s Federal Statistical Office, Destatis, showed on Wednesday. Temperatures in India’s capital city Delhi soared to 52.3 degrees Celsius (126.1 Fahrenheit) on Wednesday, setting a new national record amid an ongoing heatwave.
