At least 12 schoolchildren and the driver of their mini-bus were killed in a road crash in South Africa’s Gauteng province as they were going to school, local officials said on Wednesday. Seven other children were brought to a hospital for treatment. A 14-foot long crocodile has been shot dead after killing a 12-year-old girl in Australia.The huge reptile, believed to be at least 30 years old, attacked the girl as she was swimming with her family last week, leading to efforts by rangers to hunt it down.
