German discus thrower Ilke Wyludda has passed away in the eastern German city of Halle, President of the Saxony-Anhalt State Sports Association Silke Renk announced Monday.  Wyludda was 55 years old. ‘The whole German throwing community is in mourning’ “The news is terribly hard and leaves me stunned. Iranian-backed militias from Iraq have entered Syria to assist the government’s counteroffensive against rebels who have taken control of Aleppo, the largest city. US President-elect Donald Trump on Monday nominated billionare financial executive Warren Stephens as the next US ambassador to the UK.  “Warren has always dreamed of serving the United States full time. Clashes between fans led to troubling scenes after Carl Zeiss Jena’s 5-0 win over visiting Chemie Leipzig on Saturday. The wars in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip are primarily driving demand for weapons and military equipment, but growing tensions in East Asia also have a role. In 2023, the total revenue of the world’s 100 largest weapons producers grew to $632 billion (€598 bio) a 4.2% increase from 2022.
