Displaced people in Rafah in the Gaza Strip have prepared meals using the limited food available to mark the start of the Muslim holy month. Ramadan is usually a month of fasting, reflection and family time but this year, celebrations were muted in Gaza as Israel’s air and ground campaign continued in response to the 7 October attack carried out by Hamas.
