Baghdad Operations Command announced today, Friday, the arrest of an accused of possessing unlicensed weapons and ammunition southwest of the capital.
The command stated in a statement received by “Al-Rasheed”, that “within the security plans prepared to enhance security and stability, pursue outlaws, and eliminate the phenomenon of loose weapons, a force from the Second Division of the Federal Police, with the support of agencies and intelligence services, and through the receipt of accurate intelligence information, was able to arrest an accused person according to Article 4/2 of terrorism, after a tight ambush was set up for him and a number of unlicensed weapons and ammunition were seized in his possession in the “Al-Bayaa” area next to Al-Karkh.”
She added, “The accused and the seized items were handed over to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against him.”
