Baghdad Operations Command announced today, Wednesday, the arrest of five wanted persons, including two defendants who carried out the “tribal assault” crime on a residential building east of Baghdad.
The command stated in a statement received by “Al-Rasheed”, that “within the security plans prepared to enhance security and stability, pursue outlaws and perpetrators of tribal conflicts (terrorism of residential neighborhoods) and eliminate the phenomenon of loose weapons, a force from the Fifth Federal Police Division, with the support of agencies and intelligence services, and through security practices and patrols, was able to arrest five suspects according to various legal articles, including two suspects who carried out the crime of the tribal bench.”
She explained, “This came after receiving information about a shooting incident. Immediately, a working team was formed and headed to the specified location. It was found that there was a tribal dispute and shooting. After investigating, collecting initial information, and reviewing surveillance cameras, the location of the perpetrators was revealed, they were raided, arrested, and the weapons and ammunition in their possession were seized in the “Al-Shaab” area next to Al-Rusafa.”
She added, “The accused and the seized items were handed over to the competent authorities to complete the legal procedures against them.”
