Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Health announced the opening of an investigation into a shooting incident inside Al-Kadhimiya Hospital, indicating that an unknown person opened fire, wounding a policeman and an employee, and committed suicide.
The Ministry stated, in a statement received by Al-Rasheed, that “an unknown person opened fire at a policeman at night, seriously wounding him and wounding another employee before he committed suicide after being surrounded by security forces inside the Hospital of the Two Imams Al-Kadhimin Medical City, peace be upon them, in Baghdad.”
She added, “An investigation was immediately launched into the circumstances of the accident,” stressing that “the hospital will continue to provide its various health services normally.”
