Comedian Alan Davies starred as magician and part-time detective Jonathan Creek from 1997 to 2004 and is a permanent panellist on TV show QI. In 2012 he sparked outrage by criticising Liverpool over their decision not to play an FA Cup final match on the anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy.
