Baghdad/Nina/ Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received, this evening, Thursday, the Governor of Dhi Qar, Mortada Al-Ibrahimi, and the Chairman of the Provincial Council, Abdul Baqi Al-Omari, in addition to the members of the Council.
The Prime Minister congratulated the attendees for gaining the confidence of citizens after a 10-year hiatus, stressing that the people of our governorates are looking forward to a better reality for their governorates.
Al-Sudani stressed that the responsibility in Dhi Qar differs from the rest of the governorates, as it witnessed widespread demand demonstrations, indicating that security, stability, services, justice, and job opportunities are undisputed rights, indicating that Dhi Qar constitutes a success story ready for those who invest in it, and it is on the right path.
Al-Sudani stressed that there is a joint responsibility between the members of the Provincial Council and the Governor in following up on projects, and this requires working in the spirit of one team, stressing that the citizen will monitor the performance while waiting for the best opportunity and the best service.
The Prime Minister indicated that “the government wants to completely close the file of lagging projects, and the governor must reduce the number of lagging projects, stressing that there are large projects that will be financed from outside the governorate’s budget, as the federal government will undertake them, such as the integrated Sheikh Market services project, whose cost exceeds 400 One billion dinars, noting that the Nasiriyah Airport projects and the development of the city of Ur are among the projects that will move the governorate to a new reality.”/End 8
