Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani confirmed today, Monday, that the government has given priority to completing lagging projects, while stressing that members of the Internal Security Forces must be given special attention.
The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated, in a statement received by Al-Rasheed, that “This afternoon, Al-Sudani conducted a visit to the site of the Internal Security Forces Hospital project in the Al-Bab Al-Sharqi area in Baghdad, (one of the lagging projects), and followed the progress of work on it and the stages of progress of its completion. He toured the hospital building and inquired from those responsible for the treatment and electricity plants and the connection channels for water drainage.
Al-Sudani confirmed, during a field tour of the site, according to the statement, that “the government has given priority to completing the lagging projects and solving all the problems that hinder their implementation, especially the lagging hospitals or new hospitals and the matters they require regarding treatment and medical equipment supplies.”
The Prime Minister indicated that “the government will begin a new experiment that will be implemented for the first time in Iraq, which is contracting with health institutions specialized in the management and operation of hospitals, in accordance with the latest findings of medical services to manage 6 modern hospitals in several governorates.”
Al-Sudani stressed, “Members of the Internal Security Forces must be given special attention and provided with the best conditions for them, noting that operating this lagging hospital will save the costs of sending members of our security forces for treatment abroad.”
