Baghdad/NinaPrime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani held an iftar banquet this evening, Thursday, in honor of the elderly residing in Al-Rashad and Al-Sulaikh residential homes.
The Prime Minister congratulated the attendees on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, asking God Almighty to accept their deeds, protect all Iraqis, and grant success to all efforts seeking to serve the country.
Al-Sudani listened to the demands, needs, and observations of the elderly attendees, and directed them to be followed up quickly, and stated that in all meetings with officials and advisors, he directed to provide the best services to the shelter homes, which include our elderly mothers and fathers, who gave Iraq their years of life and served it in many fields, whether they were state employees. Or in the private sector, he also directed workers in shelters to provide the required care for this important segment.
Addressing his elderly guests, the Prime Minister said, “Today is the loyalty of the state and its people towards you, and what we offer is not a favor or a favour, but rather our duty, and we will be up to the responsibility.” Al-Sudani affirmed the government’s keenness to provide a comfortable atmosphere of housing, food, and medicine for the elderly in shelter homes, and announced that it will be sent A group of elderly people who are able to perform Hajj and Umrah, after a group was sent last year./End 8
