Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani announced today, Wednesday, the submission of about 40 applications to establish local pharmaceutical factories.
Al-Sudani’s office stated in a statement received by Al-Rasheed, “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received, today, Wednesday, a delegation that included a number of businessmen, economists, the private sector, and directors of Egyptian companies from various sectors.”
The Prime Minister expressed “the government’s desire to strengthen cooperation between Egyptian companies and the various investment and industrial sectors in Iraq, as well as to strengthen partnership and exchange with the Iraqi private sector,” stressing “continue to support financial and banking reforms to enhance the investment environment and grant it the necessary facilities.” .
He praised “the experience of Egyptian companies and their success in the sectors of housing, real estate development, and various industries,” stressing “the importance of the opportunities available to them to enter the Iraqi pharmaceutical industry sector.”
Al-Sudani explained, “The path of the government program effectively adopts the development of industry and investment agriculture in Iraq, and that there is a package of measures that has been implemented, which gave practical momentum to the industrial sector, as about 40 applications were submitted to establish local pharmaceutical factories.”
He touched on “the second phase of the new residential cities, and their great need to establish factories for construction materials, in addition to continuing to complete the Bismaya residential city, which are promising opportunities available to Egyptian companies known for this activity on the global level.”
For their part, Egyptian businessmen expressed “the practical desire to enter the Iraqi market and cooperate with the Iraqi private sector, or with investment plans and infrastructure projects,” stressing that “Iraq has become an attractive environment for investment and businessmen and to open new areas of cooperation and partnership, providing more opportunities.” It enhances communication and mutual development between the two brotherly countries.”
