Today, Wednesday, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, chaired a session of the Ministerial Council for National Security, while directing the security services to increase their security and intelligence measures.
The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, said in a statement received by Al-Rasheed, “Al-Sudani chaired a regular session of the Ministerial Council for National Security, during which developments in the security situation in the country and the efforts of the security forces in confronting the terrorist remnants of ISIS and confronting organized crime were discussed.” And the crime of drug trafficking, as well as deliberating on the issues on the agenda and taking the necessary decisions and directives regarding them.”
He added, “It was approved that the first and important stages of the criminal justice data integration project be completed, which provides transparency in the completion of the transactions of detainees and inmates, in line with human rights standards.”
Rasoul explained, “The Council reviewed the preliminary studies of the unified system project to automate and complete transactions, in a way that ensures appropriate digital processors away from security breach.”
He continued, “The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces directed all security agencies to increase their security and intelligence measures.” In order to enhance security, ensure stability, and the importance of informing the Iraqi citizen of the facts of matters and incidents with credibility and transparency.”
