Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani stressed today, Monday, that the citizen should not bear additional costs for electronic payment at gas stations, while he renewed the importance of focusing on the speed of development in the oil sector.
The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement received by Al-Rasheed, “Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani chaired, today, the regular meeting to follow up on the progress of implementation of the Ministry of Oil’s projects, and the efforts of the Ministry concerned with developing and expanding the oil sector’s facilities,” noting that “it took place during the meeting “To review the progress in implementing the Ministry’s projects and plans, the rate of completion, the development of extraction operations and associated gas investment operations, as well as the progress of work in refinery projects and refining capabilities for petroleum products.”
He added, “The Prime Minister reviewed a comprehensive presentation of the implementation of projects for transporting petroleum products, and the plans followed in distributing petroleum products within various governorates, as well as following up on electronic payment applications at gas stations, and the necessity of the citizen not bearing any additional costs or burdens as a result of this transformation, and the conditions were discussed.” Producing petroleum derivatives and fuels, and pursuing the goal of achieving self-sufficiency, meeting local consumption, and not having to import.”
Al-Sudani reiterated his previous directives on the importance of focusing on the speed of development in the oil sector, keeping pace with the speed of growth of other sectors in the national economy, supporting meeting the aspirations of citizens and improving their living conditions, and supporting efforts to build infrastructure in various fields.
