Baghdad/Nina/ The Secretary-General of the Generations Assembly, MP Muhammad Saadoun Al-Sayhud, opened a central ceremony to honor Iraqi women in Maysan.
The correspondent of the Iraqi National News Agency stated:Nina/ Today: The Women’s Empowerment Division of the General Directorate of Education of Maysan Governorate held an annual central ceremony coinciding with Teacher’s Day and International Women’s Day, to honor (30) female administrative employees, on the gardens of the Directorate’s office, today, in the presence of parliamentary and governmental representatives represented by the Secretary General of the Generations Assembly of Representative Muhammad Saadoun Al-Sayhoud, member of the Provincial Council, Ahmed Saleh Qartas, Assistant Dean of Imam Al-Sadiq University (peace be upon him), Dr. Muhammad Yunus Al-Yasiri, and a large group of educators.
The ceremony began with a fragrant recitation of the Holy Qur’an and the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah for the souls of the Iraqi martyrs, along with the playing of the national anthem. After that, the Director General of Maysan Education, Jawad Kazem Sultan Al-Sikri, delivered a welcome speech, in which he praised Iraqi women, especially educators, and the sacrifices made by them to prepare a promising and sober generation, after which the event was sung.
