The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Iraqi embassy in Tripoli succeeded, after high coordination with the Ministry of Interior / Anti-Illegal Immigration Service, in the State of Libya, in releasing five Iraqi citizens who were detained for reasons related to illegal immigration.” “What is reflected in the security and safety of Iraqi citizens who fall into the traps of human smuggling and trafficking networks.”
The statement added, “The Iraqi Embassy in Tripoli has doubled its efforts in conjunction with its reopening after about a decade, to increase the effectiveness of follow-up and efforts towards the most important files that enhance the presence of Iraqi diplomacy and raise its status at the level of bilateral relations or at the level of providing services and facilitating their follow-up with the Iraqi community.” Residing in the State of Libya.
