The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, condemned the terrorist crime that took place in the city of Kerman in the Islamic Republic of Iran, which led to the fall of dozens of martyrs and wounded among those who were commemorating the anniversary.” The fourth for the martyrdom of General Qassem Soleimani.”
Al-Mandalawi added – according to the statement – “We extend our sincere condolences and sympathy to the Iranian people and their government for the treacherous terrorist crime that targeted visitors to the shrine of the martyr Qassem Soleimani and led to the deaths of dozens of martyrs and wounded, and we express the solidarity of the government and people of Iraq with the Islamic Republic of Iran towards this brutal terrorist aggression.”
He continued, “The choice of this time and the security tension the region is witnessing as a result of the escalation in the intensity of the Zionist war on Gaza portends a great danger and reveals a conspiracy being hatched to destabilize the region to mislead the world about the destruction and genocide currently taking place in the State of Palestine.”
