Baghdad / Nina/ The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, received in his office the US Ambassador to Baghdad, Elena Romanowski.
A statement from his office stated: “During the meeting, Al-Hakim welcomed the resumption of the second round of bilateral negotiations to discuss ending the tasks of the international coalition and the transition to the bilateral relationship. He stressed the need to remain serious during the negotiations, and renewed his support for the Sudanese government in managing the negotiations within the work of the Supreme Military Committee.”
He explained: “The recent elections contributed to strengthening the democratic experience through the formation of local governments,” expressing his hope that the governors will succeed in their duties and provide service.
Regarding the war on Gaza, Al-Hakim stressed: “It is an unjust war,” calling for it to be stopped as soon as possible, and for the provision of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people./ End 9
