Baghdad/Nina/ The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar Al-Hakim, stressed the importance of forming local governments based on harmonious and efficient teams.
Al-Hakim’s office stated: “Al-Hakim met today with Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, and during the meeting they exchanged views on developments in the political scene in Iraq and the region.”
During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of maintaining the stability achieved at the political, economic, social and security levels.
The meeting discussed the upcoming elections, as well as discussing the outcomes of the recent local elections and the political map drawn in the governorates of Iraq.
Al-Hakim stressed “the necessity of investing this stage to improve the service and development situation of the governorates, and the importance of forming local governments based on harmonious and efficient teams.”
Al-Hakim called for “the adoption of the constitution and the applicable laws as a basis for resolving the outstanding problems between the federal government and the regional government,” stressing “compromising for the public interest and exploiting this stage to pursue real solutions to all outstanding problems.”
Regarding the regional issue, the two sides stressed “the necessity of stopping the war on Gaza, and we called on the international community to assume its responsibilities towards the ongoing genocide of a defenseless people.”/End 7
