Baghdad / Nina / The head of the National Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, congratulated the teachers on their holiday, and demanded that they be treated fairly and that laws and procedures be enacted worthy of their status.
Al-Hakim said in a statement: “Iraqi Teacher’s Day is a valuable opportunity to stand with all greatness and reverence on the shores of the generosity of the true builders of man and nations. Is there a reward that matches their efforts, or words that give them their true rights?”
He added: “All expressions of gratitude are insignificant in the face of their great deeds and beautiful descriptions of their actions. All we have to do is renew our demands for the necessity of doing justice to them and enacting and legislating laws and procedures befitting their status, in gratitude for what they have given and in gratitude for what they have made.”
Al-Hakim concluded his statement by saying: “You teachers have all the love and appreciation, and may you always be grateful for the message of knowledge that you carried and those who departed from it.”/ End
