Baghdad/Nina/ Head of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Faleh Al-Fayyad, met today, Sunday, with Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi.
The Office of the Chairman of the Commission stated in a statement, “During the meeting, they discussed the overall security and political situation in the country, and the two sides stressed the importance of cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities in legislating laws that support the armed forces and increase their armament and combat capabilities. The meeting discussed efforts to legislate the service and retirement law for the Popular Mobilization Forces.” And the importance of its approval.”
The statement added, “The mechanism for accelerating the selection of a new speaker of the House of Representatives was discussed, and the necessity of supporting government efforts, especially at the political and legislative levels, in the file of ending the presence of the international coalition and achieving full sovereignty in the country.”/End H
