The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Municipalities directed the Malaysian company “Ho Hub” to accelerate the completion of the flower water project, confirming that the project completion rate exceeded 93%.

The media of the General Directorate of Water affiliated with the Ministry of Construction stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Ammar Adel Al-Maliki visited the Director General of the General Directorate of Water in the Ministry of Construction, Housing and General Municipalities, accompanied by the Follow-up Department in the Office of the Prime Minister, the District Attorney of Al-Husseiniyah, and the Director of Baghdad Water.” And the technical team from the General Directorate of Water and the representative of the Ministry of Water Resources, the Flower Water Project, to monitor the progress of work in the field to speed up its completion soon.”
He added, “An expanded meeting was held in the presence of all parties with the implementing company, the Malaysian Ho Hub Company, to discuss the most important problems and obstacles facing the progress of work in the project, to find appropriate solutions to all obstacles, and to move forward with the completion of the project in coordination and cooperation with the relevant departments,” indicating that “it was completed.” The company emphasized the increase in work teams and the completion of all facilities for the purpose of accelerating the completion of the project and its operation within the specified times, stressing that the current project completion rate exceeded 93% actual completion.
It is noteworthy that the Flower Water Project was implemented and designed by the Malaysian company Hohab, with a design capacity of 10,000 m3 per hour. The beneficiary party is the Baghdad Governorate Water Directorate and under the supervision of the General Directorate. The project was constructed on an area of 84 dunums and at a financial cost of more than 100 billion Iraqis. The project contributes to providing potable water for citizens in the Zuhoor district and the areas. Neighboring it, with a population of more than 800 thousand people, eliminates the scarcity of water in these areas.
