The Ministry of Transport announced today, Friday, that air traffic, aviation communications and radars at local airports were not affected by the global problem in communications systems.
The Ministry’s media office said in a statement received by Al-Rasheed: “The communications systems at Iraqi airports were not affected by the global problem, and air traffic, aviation communications and radars are operating normally at all local airports.”
He stressed that “all air operations and aircraft movement in Iraqi airspace are proceeding smoothly without any obstacles, adding that its systems are completely secure,” noting that “the countries affected by this problem are due to a technical glitch in global computing systems.”
The statement explained that “the flights of the Iraqi Airways Company are continuing according to the fixed schedules and timetables for all destinations and from all local airports and vice versa.”
