The pigeon’s crisis began last May when it was caught near a port in Mumbai with two rings tied to its legs, and words that appeared to be Chinese written on them.
Police suspected the pigeon of espionage, detained it and later sent it to Bai Sakarbai Dinshu Beti Animal Hospital in Mumbai.
Eventually, the pigeon turned out to be a racing bird in Taiwan, and it escaped and made its way to India.
