Baghdad/Nina/The Côte d’Ivoire national team qualified for the final of the African Cup of Nations after defeating the Democratic Republic of the Congo national team, 1-0, on Wednesday evening, in the semi-finals of the tournament.
The only goal of the match was scored by Sebastien Haller in the 65th minute, as Côte d’Ivoire reached the final of the tournament for the fifth time in its history.
The Côte d’Ivoire national team, which won the title in 1992 and 2015, set a date in the final match with its Nigerian counterpart, who qualified earlier after defeating the South African national team 4-2 on penalties.
On the other hand, the Democratic Republic of Congo, which hoped to win the title after 1968 and 1974, will meet the South African team next Saturday in the third-place match./End 2
