Ivory Coast will have to rely on other results to avoid crashing out of the group stages at their home AFCON tournament, after a ruthless Equatorial Guinea thrashed them 4-0 in a huge upset that saw the winners top Group A. Meanwhile, Nigeria edge past Guinea-Bissau 1-0 to secure a spot in the last 16.
In Group B, Egypt are through to the last 16 after a dramatic 2-2 draw against Cape Verde, who had already booked their spot in the knockouts. Ghana will have to wait to see if they secure a best third-placed team spot.
