The Mayor of Baghdad, Ammar Musa Kadhim, announced today, Wednesday, the achievement of advanced stages in the implementation of the project to develop the approaches to the Jadriya Bridge and the Qadisiyah Corniche, in implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister.

A statement from the secretariat received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said: “Kazim, during his field briefing on the ongoing work to complete the project, accompanied by the Director General of the Mansour Municipality Department, confirmed that” the Mansour Municipality Department has begun developing the approaches to the Jadriya Bridge and Al-Qadisiyah Corniche to be model sections and new entertainment and tourist sites for citizens in Capital Center.
He added, “The development work on the approaches to the Jadriya Bridge includes a model park with an area of 5 dunams after it has been completely rehabilitated, and agricultural work has begun, the implementation of walkways, the construction of fountains, and the installation of seating terraces and lighting poles.”
He continued, “The municipality department has reached advanced stages in developing the 220-meter-long Qadisiyah Corniche by implementing a walkway, seating terraces, and installing decorative lighting poles.”
He pointed out, “These projects are part of the work of the Baghdad Municipality to beautify the capital and revive the banks of the Tigris River, and that the Baghdad Municipality’s campaign is continuing in all areas of the capital within a plan that was prepared in advance, and that the year 2024 will witness the completion of many projects and it is the year of achievements, as the Chairman of the Council called it.” Ministers.”
