Baghdad / Nina The Foreign Relations Committee stressed the importance of cooperation in the economic and commercial field between Iraq and Romania, noting the necessity of signing an economic cooperation agreement between the two countries.
The head of the committee, Representative Dylan Ghafoor, said during her meeting with the Romanian Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism in the capital, Bucharest, that “Iraq today has a stable security situation and the Iraqi government places among its priorities working to restore Iraq to its leading position in the international community.”
She added, “The meeting of the members of the Foreign Relations Committee with the Romanian side discussed encouraging tourism to Iraq, and the necessity of working and coordinating with the Iraqi Chamber of Commerce,” indicating that “Iraq is a country of civilizations and has many historical monuments and monuments that make it an important tourist destination.”
For his part, the Romanian minister confirmed that there is a serious desire for Romanian merchants to work in Iraq, and he will make an upcoming visit with a delegation of Romanian businessmen to Iraq, expressing his hope that this visit will be a turning point in the path of developing economic and trade relations between Iraq and Romania./End 5
