Baghdad / Nina Today, Tuesday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee held a joint meeting with the Minister of Education, Ibrahim Al-Nams, to discuss the ministry’s operational and investment budget and 2023-2024 financing.
The committee discussed, with the Minister of Education, the financial and administrative financing paths for the ministry, including governorate contracts and the operational and investment budget. The issue of lecturer appointments, the actual need for manpower, the 2020 lecturer’s working mechanism, the problems facing the ministry’s work, and the necessity of printing curricula and completing the school buildings under implementation were also raised. .
For his part, the Minister of Education provided an explanation of the mechanism for distributing contractors to the governorates, taking into account population density, while praising the Finance Committee’s interest in the educational file and the educational aspect.
The interventions focused on the Ministry’s operating budget and the spending sections represented by printing books, school buildings, student grants, and employee compensation, in addition to addressing the issue of donating land allocated for building schools, in order to fill the shortfall in the number of school buildings.
Detailed discussions also took place regarding financial financing for infrastructure and the completion of projects included within the government program./End 5
