Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, who plays for Liverpool FC, is scheduled to hold a decisive meeting with the new coach of the Reds, Dutchman Arne Slot, after his return from the summer vacation.
According to the British newspaper, “Mirror”, Salah will return to Liverpool today, Monday, in order to catch up with the team’s preparations for the new season.
She stressed that Liverpool has no intention of dispensing with Salah this summer, although this is the last chance for the English club to earn a large sum in exchange for selling the Egyptian star, whose contract expires next summer.
The newspaper added that Salah intends to discuss his future with Slot in their first meeting.
Liverpool recently signed Slot to succeed German Jurgen Klopp, who left the team at the end of last season.
Liverpool began preparations for the new season under Slot last Friday in the absence of Salah, who was given a long six-week vacation after his international commitments with his country, Egypt.
Salah has been linked with a move away from Liverpool this summer, especially since he is wanted by the Saudi league giants.
Liverpool had rejected a £150m offer to sign Salah from Saudi club Al-Ittihad last summer.
