The Ministry of Interior announced today, Monday, the arrest of 6 suspects involved in a brawl south of Baghdad.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Within the ongoing security efforts of the Federal Police units to eliminate armed manifestations and impose the rule of law, a force from the Third Mechanized Brigade of the Mechanized Division of the Federal Police was able to arrest 6 suspects involved in a “family” quarrel in the (Al-Dura) area, south of Baghdad.”
She added, “The quarrel resulted in the injury of a female citizen near the scene of the incident, where the place was cordoned off and the accused were arrested and (a Kalashnikov rifle, ammunition magazine, 10 bullets) were seized from them,” indicating that “they were referred with the seized items to the competent authorities in accordance with the law.”
